Meet Our Pastor

 

 

 

 

Pastor Vincent Edward Clark

 

Born on August 28, 1962, Vincent Clark is a native of Kankakee, Illinois, and is the second of seven children born to Frank and Bonnie Clark, of Kankakee.  

 

Recognizing that he was a sinner and being convicted by the Holy Spirit, Clark professed faith in and thus received salvation through the Lord Jesus Christ.  Knowing, through divine intervention of the Holy Spirit, The Lord had a higher calling on his life, he answered his "Call to Preach the Word of God," being duly Licensed to Preach in November, 1982, and ordained in August, 1992, by the Morning Star Missionary Baptist Church, Kankakee, Illinois.

 

Pastor Clark’s education included tenures at Northern Illinois University in DeKalb, Illinois; Kankakee Community College (Kankakee), and Governors State University, University Park, Illinois, from which he graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree.  Clark has been certified as a Family Development Specialist by The National Resource Center for Family Centered Practice and The University of Iowa School of Social Work, Iowa City, Iowa.  In addition to being a Certified Family and Community Development Specialist, Illinois Association of Community Action Agencies, Springfield, Illinois, Clark is a Certified Facilitator for "Quenching The Father Thurst"  curriculum by the The National Center for Fathering, Kansas City, Missouri.

 

Pastor Clark is married to the former Alisha Z. Hall of Kankakee (native of Tennessee) whom he married on February 14, 1987.  Four children were born to the union of Vincent and Alisha: Vincent Edward, II; Jacqueline Olevia; Justin Edward; and Jaeden Edward.  Clark also has one other daughter, Carrie of Chicago.

 

Clark has served as the Senior Pastor of the Mount Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Bradley since April 1998.  Pastor Clark currently serves as the Executive Director of Kankakee County Community Services, Incorporated (a non-profit community action agency), where he has been employed since August 1992. 

 

Preaching engagements of Clark includes the States of Tennessee; Missouri; Kentucky, Iowa, and Indiana.  He has Preached on the state level for Illinois Baptist General and facilitated regional leadership workshops for Kankakee Community College and Northeastern Illinois Area Agency on Aging.
